This contest entry is for

The theme was to show Thornacious & Skidaddles having fun. So for this task, I headed down to Brighton and Worthing with my camera to shoot some possible backgrounds (I like to shoot at funny angles).
Another contest, another opportunity to adjust my styles. Three-layer shading was nice in the last two contests I did but it looked a bit "blotchy". So, I've sort of gone back to the old style but with a bit of new. For the characters, I've simplified the shading by doing the gradient properly using radials rather than just one simple linear swoop.
Also I've never drawn Griffins before, and that threw me off a few times, particularly getting the head and beak right, despite having drawn similar bird heads before.
Anyway, I'm rambling on...
Who knows where they're sailing to? Perhaps, they're heading for the land of Guinness.

I think you got the "having fun" vibe to a T here. 
Can't say I've ever seen a dragon/griffin duo before, so this is something new for me. Terrific work on Thornacious' leaning pose as well as the extremely angled perspective and the backlighting from the sun - very best of luck in the contest.
